Bip, bip, biiiiiiiiiiiiiip. Bib number 2, I push myself out of the starting gate. I hit the blue gate, then the red one and I already feel the rhythm in my legs!
A race, the final one of the European Cup racetrack, a perfect slalom. Today, March 17th, 2016 I have gained my fist podium in my career in this racetrack. A silver that shines and that makes me super satisfied! The only thing is that I had to go up to Spain in order to get it. Between Wednesday and Thursday I have taken part in the finals competitions in Giant and Slalom in La Molina (SPA). I have never competed in the Iberian area before; so now I can state that Spanish people are friendly and talkative as Italians. Yesterday in Giant I had bib 8 and the first run was great, while during the second oneI have made a ‘patatrac’ (hash) and I have ended 21. But I am happy about it, I know that making mistakes will help me to improve and I will restart from here. Whilst, today, wow I am so excited, I made it, I have skied in the best way possible, I have assaulted the gates every curve, every change of direction. I was feeling good, fast, rapid, ready and my desire of victory was stronger than ever. In order to let you understand, if it is possible I would run till home thanks to the adrenaline I have in my body right now. Chapeau to Buffet, he honored the yellow bib and he deserved the victory.
During this year in the European Cup I have shown my abilities and my broad-techniques. I love both the Giant and the Slalom and I feel like improving every day. After some injuries, with my hand still broken, some interruptions and a list of top 10, I finally conquered the so ambitious podium. The season is not over yet, I have to take part to some others important steps at national level, but I am very proud and satisfied and I know from where I would start next season.
Now I am enjoying some celebrations toghter with friends and parents.
Stay tuned y viva España!
